It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the "International Congress of Cardiology" (ICC) organized by the Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine and Therapeutics of The Chinese University of Hong Kong on 24-26 February 2012 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
According to World Health Organization, cardiovascular diseases are the number one cause of death globally. Growing affluence of community, longer life expectancy, unhealthy lifestyle as well as other social and economic conditions making cardiovascular diseases a major non-communicable disease.
Lifelong learning and commitment are the keys to ensure the delivery of quality and caring healthcare services. Our Congress aims to provide a comprehensive programme addressing both the research and clinical aspects of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases in the region. Riding on the resounding success of previous conferences, we are honored to gather a group of dedicated cardiologists and medical experts again to share their experiences and knowledge with us. We are confident to put up a platform with further insights and innovative initiatives to enhance the quality of healthcare services.
